1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Arogya Story ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

These terms apply to all users including guests, registered users, and users managing records on behalf of family members.

2. Description of Service

Arogya Story is a personal health record management platform that allows users to:

• Upload medical documents such as lab reports, prescriptions, and discharge summaries
• View AI-extracted health facts and trends from uploaded documents
• Ask natural language questions about their health records
• Manage health records for multiple family members
• Export health data in PDF and CSV formats

4. User Accounts and Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You may manage health records for family members (minors or dependents) under your account, and by doing so you confirm you have the right to do so on their behalf.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Guest accounts are temporary. Data in guest accounts may be deleted after 30 days of inactivity.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload documents that do not belong to you or your family members
• Attempt to access another user's data
• Use the Service to store documents unrelated to personal health records
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service's APIs
• Upload malicious files or content
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

6. Data Ownership

You own your data. We do not claim any rights over the documents you upload or the health information contained within them.

By uploading documents, you grant Arogya Story a limited, non-exclusive licence to process and store your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This licence ends when you delete your data or close your account.

We do not sell, license, or share your health data with third parties for commercial purposes. We do not use your data to train AI models.

7. Service Availability

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. We reserve the right to:

• Perform scheduled maintenance with reasonable notice
• Modify or discontinue features with notice
• Suspend access to accounts that violate these Terms

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Arogya Story shall not be liable for:

• Any errors or inaccuracies in AI-extracted health facts
• Medical decisions made based on information from the Service
• Data loss due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or ₹1,000 if no payment was made).

9. Intellectual Property

The Arogya Story name, logo, and application design are our intellectual property. You may not reproduce or use them without written permission.

All health data, documents, and extracted facts remain your property.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email.
